Flying over Quebec\u2019s bush country far from the big cities and suddenly seeing this majestic runway in the middle of the forest is quite the site to see.\u00a0Built during the Cold War, this runway was to accommodate American B-52 bombers.\u00a0Today it is used by outdoor enthusiasts, members of our various clubs and clients of the Casey Base Camp.<\/p>\n

Runway:<\/strong>\u00a004\/22 \u2013 5411′ x 100′ (New marking in 2022 and in the CFS)<\/p>\n Center of the Runway<\/strong><\/p>\n DD: 47.937588,-74090668<\/p>\n MDD: N 47\u00b056.254\u2032 W 074\u00b005.440\u2032<\/p>\n DMS: 47\u00b056’15.3\u2033N 74\u00b005’26.4\u2033W<\/p>\n Altitude:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a01291′ ASL<\/p>\n Hills\/Mountains:\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Be careful, there is a hill over 1900′ ASL to the northeast of the runway, close to the threshold of runway 22.
